Here’s some of my thoughts, likes and dislikes. If anything takes your interest feel free to drop me a line.
A group of young Indian women is bombarded religious zealots with pink knickers during a Valentine’s Day protest.

More than 18,000 supporters signed up to oppose the men who are intent on curbing female freedom on the day for lovers.
We all knew Big Brother was watching, those of us in the UK are the most spied on people on earth. Now it’s not just ‘Big Gordon’ watching, its ‘Big Google’! Forget your friends knowing everything about your day through Facebook status updates now everyone can see your location 24/7. The latest innovation by Google could let users track the whereabouts of friends, children or even cheating partners.

The Latitude service has been added to Google Maps on some types of mobile phones (iphone not included sadly) and BlackBerrys.
Users appear as a small dot on a map, allowing friends to instantly find out where they are.
“Now you can do things like see if your spouse is stuck in traffic on the way home from work, notice that a buddy is in town for the weekend, or take comfort in knowing that a loved one’s flight landed safely, despite bad weather,” Google said in a blog post.
Personally I think Google just want to know which St.Arbucks I visit most :)
Coffee, chocolate and Facebook are the most common addictions among Britain’s under-30s.

3,000 young people were asked which substances and habits they spent the most money on, those they had previously attempted to cut down on or give up, and the modern impulses ruling lives in 2009.
Coffee topped the list of their 10 most common modern addictions, followed by chocolate consumption and then Facebook in third place.
They replaced common vices of drugs, sex and cigarettes – which did not even make the top 10. Vanity was a more traditional popular vice, with beauty products scooping fourth place.
Here’s the complete Top 10
In recent weeks the media in Britain have been very quick to show the suffering of children within Gaza following it’s war with Israel. While I support Israel I agree the effects/suffering is terrible and only the innocent are truly paying the cost… but there is a darker side to Gaza which Hamas doesn’t want us to see.
Here’s some images of the real situation in Gaza (under the control of Hamas) which show what Israel and indeed all of us are up against.

Leonard Ravenhill once said “If weak in prayer, we are weak everywhere”. I’m starting to learn he is so so right. I was talking to a friend this week about ministry and how it succeeds or fails and his answer was simple… PRAY.
Its so easy for us to make programmes and schedules to encourage people or get a crowd but only Pray and the power of the Holy Spirit can actually make a difference. Maybe you needed this word in season just like me. Let’s commit ourselves to prayer again to see our city, nation and even world changed by God.
Yahweh doesn’t need your guitar reefs, your media presentations, your version of the Bible, all He wants is described in Psalm 51…
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.
Ok if you’ve been here recently you’ll notice quite a lot of changes. I’ve updated the out of my blog dramically over the last week to a more simple and stylish theme. All your feedback is welcome, please feel free to speak your mind.
Have a good one.
Prospekt’s March is the new Coldplay EP, its part of the whole Viva La Vida project. Its a little more random than the album but well worth a listen.

Check out the links below for some of the best images of 2008! Be warned some images contain blood…
Check this out folks! One of the best worship songs I’ve heard in a long long time… be blessed!
Well its taken a little longer than expect but at lonnnnnnnnng last my new blog has arrived. We only came in 12 months and 1.3million over budget… so all round not bad.
Anyways… I’m determined to make this blog work (despite the lack of support from Jonny A) and actually post often with whatever thoughts, sights, or sites I come across.
Feel free to comment and take part… all your input is welcome. Also look out for some amazing new pp backgrounds coming to a church near you soon!
All day Sky News and Radio 5 have been talking about Craig Ewert an American who lived in England and died in Switzerland… with the help of Dignitas.
This is a pretty shocking story which brings home the hard reality of helping a friend or loved one died. I can’t say for sure what I think ’cause thank the Lord I’ve never been in this postition but I can’t help feeling Mrs Ewert might have doubted supporting her husband when that monitor flat lined…
‘Invisible Children’ is an amazing Christian organisation working with child soldiers and night commuters in Uganda. Take 5 minutes out to see how you can help! If nothing else its a kick ass site!
This morning John McBride was speaking at our men’s breakfast on the theme ‘One Generation’. His message was simple and to the point… ‘I will pour my spirit out on ALL flesh’!
When God promised to pour out His Spirit in the last days, he didn’t say it would fall on youth. He didn’t send it for the old, no it was sent for everyone. So often church ministry gets split into sections (youth, men’s, women’s, oap’s…). Yes there’s a time and place for all of those ministries but that doesn’t mean we can’t work together and use each others strengths.
I want to commit to learning more off the older folks in my life, their wisdom and experience isn’t always going to be there so the time to draw it out is now. In God’s family there is one generation… ‘we are the generation’!
Here’s a book I’ve been reading lately and has really challenged my thinking in so many ways. We often build up an image of God which fits into our thinking. However there’s so many sides and angles to God we need to step back every now and again for a fresh view. This book is great at displaying different sides of Gods personality. Here’s what eden.co.uk say…
God Most High, The Lord, I Am, YHWH, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Maker of Heaven and Earth. There can be no greater inspiration, no other reason for worship, and no stronger motivation to live well.
Andrew Wilson explores 60 names and descriptions of the one true God, weaving profound biblical insight into each short chapter, and so unfolding the greatest subject our minds abd hearts can ever contemplate.
Here’s a few bits and bobs I have designed over the last few weeks in work.

So American has it’s first African American President. Even though I’ve kept a close ear to the campaign I’m still not sure what to think of Obama or his policies. Surly a new face and a fresh administration will mix things up… but how much? American was ready for Obama but is Capital Hill?
I was reading Exodus the other day and something stood out like I was reading it for the first time even thought I wasn’t. God told Moses he was going to release the children of Israel so they could go worship Him in the wildreness… but why not worship Him in the promised land? Why send the nation 3 days into the dessert when He could have taken them right into the promised land for them to worship there?
I thought long and hard and the only reason I could come up with is very simple. You can’t worship God on the mountain top until you’ve learnt how to worship Him in the valley. Maybe God wanted to test their faith/worship in the dark times before He brought them into the true light of the promised land.
The second thing I learnt about the wilderness is it’s ability to build character. Yes stephen we’ve heard all this before, your not saying anything new. Your right I’m not but hear me out. The generation that Moses lead out of Egypt were a bunch of wimps. Out of 12 men only 2 could actually see enough of God to believe they could take the promised land. But 40 years and a few generation later we have a group of people with enough character to believe that blowing some horns was enough to take a great city… that’s character building.
I don’t know about you but I need some of that character the only question is…. am I willing to dwell in the wilderness to learn it? I hope I am. Maybe your currently in a wilderness experience and find yourself crawling for survival. I’m not afraid to say I’ve personally been there in the last year but… the amazing thing is God is allowing US to go through that experience and He has a plan to make us stronger on the other side.
So if you or a friend are going through the wilderness experience hang in there. Yes it lonely, there’s nothing sexy or appealing about it but God know’s and He will never go beyond what you can handel. It’s just a matter of time before you hit that promised land and the light starts to shine again. Keep praising, He’s worthy.
